Design

In just one day, Tek Pak will create a package design for your evaluation. Our talented design staff will start at any point you choose, whether your CAD file, the part itself or concept sketches. We use both Pro/E and Solid Works software for package and mold design.

Approach to Prototyping

With Tek Pak, you will never have to apologize for inferior prototypes. That's because we know that having production-quality prototypes available for evaluation gives you a significant market advantage. We do this by making all prototype molds from aluminum no wood or epoxy and by thermoforming the prototypes in production quality presses.

Tooling for Prototype Packaging

With decades of experience and highly developed skill, Tek Pak's tool and die makers are second to none in the business. We complete all critical aspects of the tool making process with in-house equipment, including nine CNC machining centers, wire EDM and CMM inspection. Based on your quality, timeframe and budgetary requirements, we will trim and punch your prototype parts using the most appropriate method (e.g. steel rule or matched-metal die).

Prototype Thermoforming Method

Our thermoforming presses (roll-fed, 24 x 30-inch platen) make production-caliber thermoforms. We stock a large variety of standard thermoplastics (PVC, APET, PETG, HIPS, PP, HDPE, ABS, etc.), so prototype sampling can be promptly scheduled. Tek Pak has extensive experience with engineering and high-temperature resins like PBT, PC, PEI, PPE and PPO. We also are ready to meet all your ESD requirements with conductive, static, dissipative and anti-static materials and coatings.

Confidentiality

Tek Pak holds customer designs as proprietary and confidential at all times. Our security policy prohibits visitors from viewing any confidential designs, tooling or prototypes during escorted tours. And our employees are provided access to confidential material solely on a need to know basis.
