Tek Pak's Nitro® carrier tape process creates strong, deep pockets with dimensional accuracy on the inside of the pocket, where it matters the most. This means your connectors are well protected and consistently presented to your customer's automatic handling equipment. We produce carrier tape for connectors according to the EIA-481-C standard in widths up to 200 mm, and pockets as deep as 50 mm with a variety of materials up to 0.5 mm thick.
Industry standards are emerging for thermoformed trays. The EIA has just published EIA-948 and an additional standard will soon follow. Tek Pak already designs trays to both standards and also makes thermoformed trays that function like injection-molded JEDEC trays.
